How are you earning them? I've been doing Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. I don't have the $50/month for a gym membership on top of the $40 WW membership so I just workout at home.

Re: Activity Points
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 8:32 AMI don't use them...even if I exercise, I don't count them!
I'm still not 100% from surgery (lots of painful scar tissue forming), so I walk, and that's it. -

Re: Activity Points
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 10:24 AMI don't use them either, but I was just wondering how you used them.
I'm also not 100% from my surgery, so I totally understand not wanting to do anything too ambitious.

Re: Activity Points
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 4:27 PMI really want to start hiking again, but there's no where around here to hike. Ugh....you would think because I live in a semi-rural area that there would be plenty of places....but no, everything is privately owned and the one place where you can hike charges $5/person to hike there. -

Re: Activity Points
Tue, February 5, 2008 - 7:30 AMyeah, and that's if you WALK in (no where to park within 1/2 mile). Riding your bike in is an additional $3 and it's an additional $5 to park your car in their lot. I won't go there just out of principle. I'm used to regional parks that are free to hike.

Re: Activity Points
Wed, February 27, 2008 - 4:39 PMdancing -- freestyle and poi dancing, though that isn't always in my target heart range (so glad i have a heart monitor!)
step class at the gym which after 6 months i'm really getting addicted to.
turbo kick boxing -- the chalene johnson series rocks the house. i highly recommend it. she's really motivating. and when you do the dvd at home and learn it, you can go to the gym later and do it there and it's not so tough to pick up.
budokon -- a cross between martial arts and yoga. intense. when i first started doing it i couldn't even get through it. now i can get through it though i can't do all the poses. but it's a more relaxing workout (and not really cardio except the kicking part, at least for me).
and my bike on a trainer in my living room.
when i first was losing weight, i was traveling on business so i'd walk through airports instead of taking the trains or whatever they offer. that was my biggest form of exercise. and i always walked up the escalators instead of riding them.
