Re: Breakfast
Wed, February 27, 2008 - 4:26 PMdon't know the points, but my favorite breakfast is a greens and whey protein shake with frozen strawberries, blue berries and cherries plus flax seed oil (though there are better sources for your omega 3-6-9 than that) (1 TBS) plus 4-6 oz of almond milk blended. it's about 325-360 calories, depending on your berries/the flaxseed oil content. the shake is only 100 calories and i use the sugar free almond milk which is only 40 calories.
it's zone balanced (pretty close at least, though i eyeball it, so i'm not 100% sure i'm on) and my doctor tells me breakfast should be the largest meal of the day... when i'm in a real rush though, i have a clif builder's bar which is zone balanced. or, rarely, i'll have toast (with butter sometimes) with 4 oz of salmon.
